At just 16, Angelica Adhikary dove into community service with Women Today, co-founding the initiative alongside her mother, Shobha Adhikary, and a handful of dedicated women from Kolkata's neighborhoods. What began as a small team of four has blossomed over 10+ years into a thriving network of 30+ members and 15+ steadfast volunteers, all united in supporting women's health, nutrition, and well-being—extending care to children and the elderly too.

Today, Angelica channels her passion into her career as an advocate, while nurturing a deep interest in astrology. Meanwhile, Shobha, now over 60, continues to light the path for local women, proving age is no barrier to impact. "One can take on any task, no matter the years," her life exemplifies.

Women Today fosters solidarity, one meal and check-up at a time.
